Attorney Julie Burkett

Julie is an experienced, well respected disability attorney. Julie has successfully represented thousands of people in disability hearings.

While her practice focuses on the Saint Louis, Missouri region, Julie has represented claimants in Social Security Administration disability hearings all over the United States.

As an attorney, Julie has represented individuals and families since 2000. Julie has handled numerous automobile accident cases to successful completion and has worked tirelessly to uncover benefits from various sources for her injured clients. Julie has also fought for the rights of Missouri consumers by defending debt collection actions and filing lawsuits against unfair debt collectors. Since 2010, Julie has focused on disability law.

Julie is a life-long resident of the State of Missouri, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (1995) and her Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law (1999). Julie is admitted to practice law in the State of Missouri and in the Eastern District of Missouri (U.S. District Court). Julie is also admitted to practice law in the United States Supreme Court.

Julie is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). Julie is also a member of the Missouri Bar, Bar Association of Metropolitan Saint Louis, American Association for Justice, and National Association of Consumer Advocates. Julie volunteers for St. Louis Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts, St. Louis Christian Legal Aid, and has assisted legal aid organizations by accepting disability claims on a pro bono basis. Julie has participated as a speaker at continuing legal education (CLE) classes, where she has taught other attorneys about issues related to her areas of practice.

When not working, Julie is an avid hockey fan.

She and her husband also enjoy their wiener dogs Blue, Lulu, and June.
